<p>It&#8217;s delicious.  &#8220;Oh god, she&#8217;s going  to poison us all&#8221;, my brother teased when he saw me cutting up some chicken. My mom kept walking by and putting her brow up at me, and saying &#8220;Well, i guess i&#8217;ll give it a try&#8221;.  When they finally tried it they were amazed. &#8220;Wow, this is really good!&#8221;, they kept telling me. I know, i know. Anyway. Give it a try. It&#8217;s delcious, and only 5 points! Today i&#8217;ll try the chicken parmigiana!</p>

2  medium garlic clove(s), minced<br />
1  pound(s) uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes<br />
4  medium scallion(s), chopped (green and white parts)<br />
1/2 cup(s) fat-free chicken broth<br />
2  tbsp teriyaki sauce<br />
2  cup(s) cooked brown rice, regular or instant, kept hot<br />
4  cup(s) broccoli, fresh, florets, steamed*</p>

<ul> Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and set pan over medium-high heat. When hot, add garlic; cook, stirring, about 1 minute. Add chicken; cook until golden brown on all sides, stirring often, about 5 minutes.</p>
<p>Add scallions; cook until soft, stirring, about 2 minutes. Add broth and teriyaki sauce; simmer until chicken is cooked through and sauce reduces slightly, about 5 minutes.</p>
<p>Spoon 1/2 cup of cooked rice into each of 4 shallow bowls; spoon about 1 cup of chicken mixture and 1/2 cup of broccoli over each serving.</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>Hey there!</p>
<p>Today is my first day back on WW. I weighed in at <strong><span style="color:#008080;">164.9</span></strong>, which is <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">+6.8 </span></strong>pounds more than my last weigh in. It&#8217;s way over my 10% goal, which i was so happy to reach. It&#8217;s alright. I&#8217;ll get back there, and beyond. Now, here are some of the obstacles i might be facing at this point.</p>
<p>Work has not been very friendly to me.  On Friday morning i fell down the stairs at work. At first i didn&#8217;t feel anything, but now it&#8217;s gotten worse. I toss and turn, and wake up various times throughout the night because my backaches. If i sit or stand for too long (about 10 minutes) it starts getting to the point that it hurts alot! I&#8217;ve been resting in bed since saturday, and today i&#8217;m going to the clinic to see what&#8217;s up with that. This will affect my activity! I&#8217;m also tight on cash. . Aside from my job&#8217;s demon stairs trying to do me in, they cut my hours CONSIDERABLY. I only work Mondays and Fridays. I had to cancel my gym membership, and even considered canceling my WW membership until i got a diffrent job. It&#8217;s also 27 degrees Fahrenheit(-7 Celcius), which is pretty cold for me to be out there running.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll have to come up with some sort of way to get active. I have to start slow since i&#8217;ve been pretty sedentary.  I might do the callenetics here at home, but i&#8217;m worried about my back. Just thinking of the video, and imaging myself curling my back makes me wince. I have an elliptical. It&#8217;s one of the cheap ones. It doesn&#8217;t even have resistance. I can try to do a few minutes on that. Once i get more active, and start lifting weights, I&#8217;ll start taking my supplements. It&#8217;s a long way down the road from now.</p>
<p>I always worry about how my stomach will look if i don&#8217;t weight lift. I don&#8217;t want to be thin and have lose skin on my stomach from all this weight. It would be so depressing for me. So, that&#8217;s all i have to say for now!</p>

<p>I was having a hard time keeping track of how much water i drank during the day. I&#8217;d always forget to drink water. I went to target one day, and i decided to buy a 32 oz Water bottle. Its marked on the bottle so you can easily tell how many cups of water you are drinking.  Its recommended to drink eight 8oz glasses of water. The total would be about 64oz of water. Some say to drink close to half your body weight. Well, it was easier for me to just carry around this bottle with me. For one, it was always there. It&#8217;s marked so i can easily tell how much water I&#8217;ve drank. Pick one up!</p>
<p><span style="color:#33cccc;"><strong>Measuring Cups, Spoons and Food scale.</strong></span></p>
<p>These are one of the best things I&#8217;ve bought! It helps me calculate my points accurately. The food scale helps calculate solid things better than measuring cups. It&#8217;s so much better than guessing everything.</p>
<p><span style="color:#33cccc;"><strong>Lunch box</strong></span></p>
<p>I picked up a lunch box (No, not the power rangers kind). It&#8217;s got that thermal lining or whatever it&#8217;s called, to keep hot food hot, and cold food cold. I take this with me to school and work so that i wont get tempted to go &#8220;out for lunch&#8221;, and take a stop by some fast food places. It&#8217;s great for people who are out most of the day! The bigger the better.</p>
<p><span style="color:#33cccc;"><strong>Vegetables<br />
</strong></span></p>
<p>Substitute some fruit servings with vegetables. They are 0 points! You can get your recommended servings from the eight healthy guidelines, and still have points to spend.</p>
<p><span style="color:#33cccc;"><strong>Cravings</strong></span></p>
<h5><span style="color:#33cccc;"><strong><span style="color:#99ccff;">I scream for Ice cream~</span><br />
</strong></span></h5>
<p>I stocked up on WW ice cream. 2 Points a cup for the cookie dough one, and they even have 1 point bars. By the way, If you are wondering, they taste amazing.</p>
<h5><span style="color:#99ccff;">Cookies and things~</span></h5>
<p>You can also grab some of the Snackwell brand cookies and creme. They are pretty good. Most of the Snackwell snacks are low in points and are just what you need when you are craving some sugar. I would recommend Wheat thins for a potato chip substitute. They are nice and toasted. They also come in a variety of flavors and are pretty low in points. Quaker Rice cakes, they arent very filling but they are sweet, and worth 1 point each.</p>
<p>Well, that&#8217;s all i got for now. Keep checking up on this, as i&#8217;ll keep updating as i go.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>Well, i&#8217;m back.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not very excited. I had mentioned earlier that after i got back from vacation my Weight Watchers scale was toast. The only thing keeping me &#8220;off&#8221; my diet was not having it. I mean, HOW CAN ANYONE BE ON A DIET AND NOT KNOW HOW MUCH THEY WEIGH?! At least, that was my excuse for stuffing my face.  <span style="color:#33cccc;"><strong>It&#8217;s a bad idea! Don&#8217;t do it! Do as i say, not as i do.</strong></span> I figured that by the time i got the scale i wouldn&#8217;t have had put on THAT much weight. Right? I mean, what&#8217;s a pizza a day, and a few cookies here and there gonna do?</p>
<p>I ordered my Weight Watchers scale about 2 days ago, the exact same one. I&#8217;m going to send back my broken one and get my money back. I know, I feel like a jerk, but times are hard! I expected it to be here Monday, and i even  got the 97cent shipping on it! Well, guess what? I got home from work today, and i downed a big plate of rice and fish.  I then decided to take a little nap. When i woke up, there was a box on the floor by my bed. It&#8217;s like the scene in a horror movie.  Ladies and gentle men, my fun is over, and it&#8217;s time to get back on the scale.  It must be done.</p>
<p>I waited a few hours before i actually opened the package&#8230; Possibly wishing that it was something else, but that big weight watchers logo was not to be mistaken. I decided to &#8220;Peek&#8221; at my weight. You know since, your weight fluctuates throughout the day, and according to SCIENCE it&#8217;s best to weigh-in the same time, day of the week, and wearing the same thing. I usually weigh-in Wednesdays, early mornings, and naked. Just to make sure my clothe don&#8217;t weigh me down.</p>
<p>Yeah, you probably giggled abit. We all do it!</p>
<p>OK, so.. The magic number was 164.9! That was a + 5 increase since i went away for vacation. I mean considering it was a whole month and a couple of weeks.. It&#8217;s not THAT bad.. right? Could&#8217;ve been worse.. I guess, i&#8217;m ready to get back on and start on my diet.</p>
<p>It seems that WW has a new &#8220;Momentum&#8221;, and i just skimmed over it. Basically, it&#8217;s just the Flex Plan, and the Core Plan in one. I haven&#8217;t really read much about it, and i suppose i should. I&#8217;ll get on that tomorrow.</p>
<p>So, now that the holidays are over.. Care to join me on a fresh start?</p>

<p>I just got back from vacation a few days ago.  I went to Washington state. It was great.  Not so great was what i did. I stopped my diet/exercise on December, and ever since then i&#8217;ve been eating nothing but junk. I&#8217;m afraid to look at the scale. Oh, but i cant! While i was gone to Washington my mom left my W.W Scale on the heater, giving me another reason to hold back on starting my weight watchers diet again.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always hard to restart, and there will always be stops along the way. I&#8217;ve decided that this is the year that i&#8217;ll reach my goal weight.</p>
<p>Well. I&#8217;m off to order a NEW weight watchers scale.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s been quite a while. I&#8217;ve been busy with work and school. I&#8217;ve been on my diet, but i&#8217;ve been stuck on this plateau for weeks. I keep playing with these pounds. I bounce from 159lb to 160l or 161lbs. I&#8217;ve decided to make an effort and see how i can bust out of this plateau and change up what im doing.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been researching alot, and i have stumbled upon www.bodybuilding.com. After reading one of the transformation articles about a girl who was 235lbs and through diet and exercise managed to get down to 142lbs. I was amazed. Her body was perfect, and i would like something similar.</p>
<p>I started to read up about weight lifting and how it is more effectve than cardio to burn fat. I&#8217;ve also decided to start taking supplements to help give me an extra push. I&#8217;ve also decided to tweak my diet so that it would fit into something that would help lose fat and gain muscle (still following WW).</p>
<p>I started my NEW work out schedule last night which is going to be something like this:</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll do these weight lifting exercises all 3 sets of under 20 reps until failure (until i cant do it anymore).</p>
<p>(The blue days are the days that i will actually be at the gym.)</p>
<blockquote><p><strong><span style="color:#3366ff;">Monday</span> </strong>- <em>Shoulders and Triceps. ABS. HIIT for cardio<br />

<p><strong>Tuesday</strong><em> &#8211; ABS</em></p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#3366ff;">Wednesday</span> </strong>- Biceps and Back and ABS HIIT for cardio</p>
<p><strong>Thursday</strong> &#8211; ABS</p>
<p><span style="color:#3366ff;"><strong>Friday </strong></span>- Light Chest. ABS HIIT for cardio</p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#3366ff;">Saturday</span> </strong>- Legs. ABS.</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>HIIT &#8211; High intensity interval training</strong></p>
<p>HIIT is a form of cardio which is beneficial to burning fat in a short and intense workout</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve done my research and it&#8217;s supposed to be x8 more effective than normal cardio.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s basically done like so,</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you choose an exercise like jumping rope, running (not on tredmil), Elliptical, or the stationary bike.</p>
<p>First you warm up for about 15 minutes going at a slow pace, and then just stretch out your muscles.  After you are all warmed up and ready to go..  GO AS HARD AS YOU CAN FOR 30 SECONDS. When the 30 seconds are up slow down and rest for 90 seconds. That doesn&#8217;t mean stop moving, just slow down to a comfortable resting pace. Do this 6 times, and you&#8217;ll see.  Toward the end you will be drenched in sweat. When i get off the bike my legs are usually wobbly! HIIT should only be done every other day. I also wouldn&#8217;t do HIIT on days you are working out your legs.</p>

I wasn&#8217;t expecting any weight loss, but i did lose. One pound. 161.3! yay. It seems like it&#8217;s been forever, but i&#8217;m very happy with my achievement.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been increasingly difficult for me to get all my fruits in. For one, I take foreverrrrrr to eat an apple. Even when i cut it up in slices. :/ I guess, it probably wouldn&#8217;t bother most people, but it does bother me. I was wondering if i ate some sugar free apple sauce, it might count as a fruit serving. I looked it up on the WW Forums, and 1/2cup of sugar free apple sauce is one fruit serving.  The only concern are the points.</p>
<p>You have to HAVE to try Smart One&#8217;s Penne Pollo, It&#8217;s one of my favorites! The other favorite is Potatoes w/ Broccoli and cheese. I forgot the exact name, but it&#8217;s delicious. Try it! They are only 6 points each, and they fill me up.</p>

I just recently started my Medical terminology class and i&#8217;ve been studying alot. I really never have time to go to the gym anymore. For somereason i feel that.. I wont lose weight if im not working out. On my last weigh in i was 162.6 which is a total loss of 13.4 pounds since i started. I&#8217;m sure i gained this week. I was really bad. i&#8217;m working on getting back on track, and gettiny all my fruits in.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve noticed my pants are fitting loser, and i just feel good about myself. I wish it&#8217;d go faster, but i just have to hang in there. Time flies by, before i know it i&#8217;ll be at my 10% goal. It&#8217;s been so hard since candy is just EVERYWHERE. I just wish these dang holidays were over!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>I didn&#8217;t update on WI but pretty much i was 167.0lb. I haven&#8217;t been going to the gym, and i haven&#8217;t been as strict with my points as i usually am, but i&#8217;m not on a binge fest either.  It&#8217;s really hard for me to get motivated to go to the gym. I know that all i have to do is get up and go, and i&#8217;ll be fine again.  Maybe tomorrow I&#8217;ll be ready to go. I&#8217;m not sure that i&#8217;m willing to go today since only had 2 hours of sleep. Don&#8217;t worry! I&#8217;ll get through this. I have to. People are starting to notice my weight-loss, and it&#8217;s feels good. Remember those pants? The ones i bought that didn&#8217;t fit me. Well they fit me now!</p>
